Southwestern Black Student
Leadership Conference
est. 1989

Keynotes

In 1989, innovated collegians at Texas A&M University began a legacy now known as the Southwestern Black Student Leadership Conference. SBSLC was formed as a yearly forum where African-American students from across the country could assemble yearly for professional development and to discuss the problems and concerns that affect their community. Now in its 20th year of existence, SBSLC carries on that legacy and unites nearly 1,000 student participants, advisors and presenters each January for 4 truly impactful days. This year promises to be just as exciting as the last.
