Welcome
Mr. Steven Levingston Howdy 2009 SBSLC ParticipantsWelcome to the 2009 Southwestern Black Student Leadership Conference. It is an honor, privilege, and truly a blessing to serve as chair of this remarkable event. Since 1989 SBSLC has served as a forum for the purpose of addressing significant issues facing the American Community. This year’s conference will be better than ever. The theme for the 2009 Conference is “Transcending the Status Quo”. Our staff is currently working very diligently to ensure an experience that cannot be paralleled. We take a lot of pride in remaining the largest student run conference in the nation. SBSLC strives to uphold its rich tradition of excellence which shows in our conference mission, goals, and performance. We have four days of great keynote speakers, over 50 well rounded workshops, a career fair featuring diverse companies that do business on virtually every continent in the world, a vendor fair supporting small business entrepreneurs, and a spiritual charge that will send you away spiritually driven as well. I look forward to seeing you at the conference January 22nd through 25th. If there are any problems please feel free in calling the office at 979-845-4565. Sincerely, Mr. Steven Charles Levingston Chair, SBSLC 2009 |
